UX + Product Design

Design Systems

As a product designer, I focus on building scalable systems that drive consistency, speed, and alignment across teams. Whether it’s part of a company-wide initiative to focus on consistency or productize internal tools into revenue-generating applications, design partnered closely with product, engineering and data experts to create a robust design system that improved efficiency and supported a growing suite of applications. This work enabled faster delivery, improved accessibility, and a more cohesive product ecosystem.

Key contributions included:
– Design tokens for scalable theming (typography, color, spacing, accessibility)
– Reusable, spec-ready components with documented states and variants
– UI pattern libraries to reduce redundant work and ensure consistency
– Figma libraries optimized for fast prototyping and seamless dev handoff

Getinge

is a global corporation who specializes in OR design and equipment. During my three years of freelancing at the company I was a part of the rebranding of necessary materials including (but not limited to) product catalogues, email promotions, spec sheets, etc. for both internal use and print distribution. Working with a client of this size gave me insight into the operations of a larger company and the importance time management to meet deadlines.

Please browse some of the work I completed during my time with the company below.

Smyths Toy Superstore

is a toy store across Ireland that I came across post college while I moved abroad to gain some life experience and start my career as a digital designer. The project was to take existing products and lay them out in a standard magazine spread for distribution while maintaining the stores playful appearance.
